Midnight Rendezvous
It is with something less than
maternal goodwill that I crawl,
asleep and annoyed,
from my coveted bed
to silence your angry screams
violating the night.
We rock in the chair
that has been ours since
the very beginning,
ensconced in
Great-Grandmother’s afghan and
the VCR’s ghostly green light.
Mute now, but for
periodic, pitiful whimpers,
you cling to me like some
abandoned creature reclaimed.
Clinging back,
I am Every Mother,
an all-knowing, all-bestowing,
all-loving, all-forgiving
paragon of matriarchal perfection.
Feeling your sweet, soundless breaths
tease the tangles of hair
on the back of my neck,
my last trace of irritation
over interrupted sleep
dissipates in a hug, a kiss,
and a smile.
You will never remember
these midnight moments together;
I will never forget.

Happy Wednesday!
Hello friends! I have exciting blog posts coming up, so stay tuned. We are near to launch the brand new blog featuring “Patricia Rossi Photography”. I’m so excited with the new look, new logo and the new section just for weddings and engagements, in fact, I’m now booking summer weddings… So pretty brides out there, email me for more information!
While Breeze Floyd, from Trust the Air Design is working on my new baby blog, you may have noticed I uploaded my new logo here! Hope you like it and come back soon…
Meanwhile, here is another family blogged:
I enjoyed photographing them so much….Lots of love, laughter and cuteness. I love their interaction and all the kisses going on during the session. What a great morning we had

How many of you have said “I’ll wait to loose some weight so I can look pretty on the pictures” – How many of you have procrastinated, or have the most ridiculous 10 extra pounds holding you back? All I have to say about this whole “waiting for the perfect time to be photographed”, is that time won’t stop tic-tacking to wait for you, neither you kids will stop growing until the extra pounds fly away (if they ever do…). The right time to register your family is right now, before this blessed time of your life is gone. Kids change every day, and you want look back and see beautiful images of the best laugh, the snuggles and the memories of the today’s experience.
What I love the most about newborn session is the fact you moms can’t wait to loose the extra pounds to be photographed! There is no excuses, or they won’t have the newborn images they’ve always wanted. Moms who just delivered their baby, don’t feel their best, sexiest or even prettiest. The day of the session is probably the first day they blow dry their hair and put some make up on after their baby is born. And those images ended up being my favorite of all times not because people look pretty, but because they are real life, real love, real moments that won’t be back, and that we definitely want to remember. Because that is what make people look beautiful!!!!….I love the simplicity, the bare, the truth on these images so much.
This is why I will yell out loud: “THE BEST TIME TO REGISTER YOUR FAMILY IS R-I-G-T-H–N-O-W” And don’t forget, I’m here to capture your family, on a most genuine way, always!
Have a great evening!
LOVE, P.
