Project 52| Week 16: Looking in

Project 52 with another 15 photographers is being really great. I love going around and seeing different perspectives of the same theme. If you missed the previous weeks, please check them HERE.

Today’s challenge is “looking in” . I had this session last week at the beach with expecting parents and a toddler (who was the sweetest thing ever!) I was working on their session and this picture was just perfect for today.

Whenever I go for a photo shoot with kids, the biggest challenge for the parents is that they want their kids to look at the camera, when what I’m looking for is exactly the opposite! Kids are best when they are not actually looking in, but when they are being natural, giggling, looking up, looking down, looking all around. I love kids that don’t look in my lens by asking, they eventually and naturally will look at me and I make sure I will capture that perfect looking into the camera, without pressure, just right!

This little boy was just  perfection! He interacted so much with me, and didn’t care I had a big black device pointing at him for the whole time =) I asked  if he would hide behind the tree and he gave me this: run to the tree, hid his face only and  ran back to me couple of times. LOVE this session so much and can’t wait to share the rest of it.

Please enjoy Project 52 and don’t forget to check all of my amazing photographer friends for more looking in!
